The Crazies are coming

Are you ready for Halloween? I know, I know, we still have over a month before it's here. But aren't you psyched with this cooler weather? I am! I got a little crazy this past weekend and decorated with my kids early. (It was sort of a bribe thing). Things are always a bit nuts here, but this weekend more than usual because we had to make an ER visit Sunday morning. No worries. Everything is okay. (Phew!)

But while we were there (and this is very scary/sad) there was also a man in the ER who was obviously in a lot of pain. Seriously, I thought I was in a torture chamber in some dungeon. He was crying out in pain for at least five minutes straight--the worst howls ever--and my husband and I were cringing every step of the way with him. I'm not sure what was going on (the anesthesiologist said this guy did NOT have tolerance for pain), but it sounded bad. I have a new respect for ER workers. (Though I think the anesthesiologist was using some of the pain killers he was handing out. No really. He seemed to have some freakish obsession with them). What I'm saying is, I'm all prepped for the scariest day of the year (that's not including my birthday).

Anyway, random-postiness is my game today. What are you looking forward to this fall? For me it's party after party, with two of my kiddos being born in October and one of them having a class party I'm crazy enough to help with, plus, you know, Halloween. Hmmmm...I may not throw that cousin party I said I would any more. So much to do, you know the saying. But my plan is to do some major edits on WIP jr. and by Spring (if I'm lucky), have a product ready to pounce on Agents.

I was going to put up a picture of a zombie, but I got too scared looking at them in Google Images.

This fall, looking forward to some cooler, but not cold, weather. I seriously need an A/C unit.

That and shopping an MS. Always a blast! :)

I'm hoping to FINISH my WIP and start --gulp-- querying!

Not to mention, so many awesome books to read...!

Good luck w/your 300 followers! I'm about to do that myself :)

Looks like we're all in the same boat. David: Do you have a window air cond. unit? Those are cheap(er) than the real thing. Glad it will be cooler for you.
A Backwards Story: Thanks! I knew exactly what I was doing when I said 300 followers. I knew it would take some time to get there, so my hubby wouldn't get mad at me for shipping prizes to people right away =). The key is to let this sink in for a while and then he'll get used to the idea of me spending money. I am conniving. Yes, but a wonderful wife (ha).

Umm, it was 95 degrees today. Where is this cool weather you are speaking of? I'm looking forward to finishing my WIP revision BEFORE going on a fabulous beach vacation in two weeks.

Oh Estee, you poor soul. I guess you'll just have to move back to Utah. HA! =) Then we could be neighbors and enjoy the mild temps together whilst having serious WIP conversations.

And so, where is this BEACH VACATION you are going on? Jealous!

I'm not a big fan of the snow you'll be getting in a few months. My hubby's parent's friends have a beach house down south in Oxnard that they let us use sometimes in the off season. It's the perfect place to do nothing! (except write, of course)

The snow here isn't half as bad as Winter in Omaha. There are some weeks that you just can't go outside, partly from how cold it is, sometimes because you get snowed in.

Sound like you're going to have a blast! Get lots of writing done and then send it to me =)
